Video Contest Rules
- This contest is open to all registered students, alumni and employees of Lethbridge College.
- Entries must be submitted by midnight, Nov. 30, 2009
- Entries become the property of Lethbridge College and can be used by the college for marketing or other purposes.
- Videos must run no longer than three minutes and use only original (non-copyright) music. You can find original music at sites such as royaltyfreemusic.com and creativecommons.ca.
- Entrants must obtain written permission from anyone depicted in a video. Use the attached FOIP release to gather that permission. If your video is shortlisted, you will need to prove that anyone identifiable in the video has signed this release.
- Submissions must be in English and must be original. Entries which show recognizable brand names, other than Lethbridge College, may be ruled ineligible.
- Content must be “G-rated,” devoid of objectionable material.
- Prizes categories include:
- Student / Alumni
- Top prize ($500). Entries will be judged by a panel; its decision is final.
- People’s Choice ($250). Entries will be judged by YouTube viewers who will vote for their favourite entry. The winner will be the entry with the most votes.
- College Employee
- College Staff Prize ($250). Entries will be judged by a panel; its decision is final. This portion is open only to employees of Lethbridge College.
- Winners will be announced December 15, 2009.
