Upgrade your skills
Whether you need to upgrade your marks and education in a few courses or over a few semesters, our College and University Preparation (Upgrading) courses offer an excellent foundation for your future.
Upgrading, offered through the College and University Preparation program in the School of Developmental Education, offers courses ranging from Math, English, Reading and Spelling to Chemistry, Physics and Biology. We offer a variety of academic levels, from basic to high school equivalent. Besides being available in Lethbridge, most of our courses are offered at our Fort Macleod, Blairmore, Pincher Creek and Claresholm Campuses.
We give you lots of support! A College Academic Advisor will help you decide which courses are right for you. Staff from the Learning Café can help improve your study skills and provide free help with your courses.
Our Case Managers will help you find funding for your education. You might be eligible for a Skills Development Grant or a part-time bursary from the Alberta Student Finance Board.
Been out of school for a while? Our four-week Orientation to College Learning program can introduce you to some of your classmates and faculty, get you comfortable on our campus before the semester starts, and teach you valuable skills like money and time management, and other skills for success.
