Registration

Services for Students

Lethbridge College offers a wide selection of Credit, Non-credit, and Alternate Delivery courses. There are different ways to become a student at Lethbridge College. You can obtain admission to a program, register as an undeclared student (Part-time Credit Studies), or register as a Non-Credit student. The Registrar’s Office also provides a variety of services and can supply valuable information to students on all our courses. If you have accepted your offer of admission to one of our programs please take a look at the Registration Checklist below.

Registration Checklist

The process of becoming a student is called Registration. Registration is the process of actually enroling in individual classes within your program. The academic calendar, found at http://www.lethbridgecollege.ca/admissions/academic-calendar, lists all of the courses in your program. Make sure to choose the calendar year that you were admitted.

For new students registration is automatic. Once you have accepted your offer of admission to a program, registration personnel will register you into your core courses. An email will be sent to your college email account to let you know when this has been completed. You can then check your email and schedule by logging into the Portal (My Horizon) from our website. The following exceptions apply:

New Upgrading students must register with an Advisor.  New ESL students will be registered by the ESL program.  General Studies (no major) and Distance Learning students will be emailed instructions on how to register online but can register with an advisor, if assistance is needed.

For continuing students you are required to register yourself online. You will receive an email (to your college email account) giving you instructions on how to   register online. This email will also contain information on how to get your schedule and fee information. The following exceptions apply:

Continuing Upgrading students must register with an Advisor.  Continuing ESL students will be registered by the ESL program.  General Studies (no major) and Distance Learning students will be emailed instructions on how to register online but can register with an advisor, if assistance is needed.

You can make changes to your schedule (add/drop classes) in these 3 ways.

    1. Online: By logging into the portal and going to the Web Advisor tab and choosing the registration options.
    2. In person: If you know what classes you wish to register for and that they will fit together in a timetable, fill out an Add/Drop form and submit it to the registration staff in Student Services.
    3. With an academic advisor: Advisors can help you with choosing classes, working out a schedule and lots more. Any student who wishes to register in an upgrading course must work with an advisor.
