Lethbridge Lifestyle

So what do you want to know?

Winters? Short, sunny and mild. Google chinook winds and you’ll know why we snicker at our poor cousins in the rest of the country (West Coast excepted).

Activities? With a population approaching 100,000, Lethbridge has just about everything you need, including recreation, sports and social spots (OK, pubs). We’re close to two major ski hills at Castle Mountain and Fernie Snow Valley, home to the WHL’s Lethbridge Hurricanes, boast a cheap ($4) movie theatre, pools, an indoor-soccer centre, parks, cycle paths and other outdoorsy stuff.

Lethbridge is a safe city (we train police recruits ourselves). Rents are reasonable and the community values students (look for deals from local merchants). Lethbridge Transit provides a dedicated route to our front door.

We’re in southern Alberta, two hours from Calgary, if you absolutely have to see Billy Talent at the Saddledome (but they played the Enmax Centre here in March).
