You’re not a student yet, but we’re ready to help you get set for a most rewarding experience on our campus. We have services for our students, and for those of you still shopping around for your education. The services noted below will be of particular help to you as you make your decision.
Career Advising: utilizing world-standard assessments, we’ll help you discover a career path that matches your interests and natural talents.
Financing: we have two funding sources to help you pay for your education:
- Student Awards and Financial Aid can assist you with government student loans and administers the college Student Awards program. They can help you with budgeting and will send out messages when the awards program is open for application.
- Service Management may be able to help you access provincial government funding if you’re an eligible Albertan with financial needs.
Personal Counselling: a free service, offered by licensed mental health professionals, for all students to help you deal with a ton of different presenting issues and concerns.
Accessibilty Services: physical or learning disabilities should not keep you from your goals. We have supports in place to assist you in achieving success.
FNMI: if you’re a student from a First Nations, Métis or Inuit background, welcome to our campus. We have learning and cultural supports to make you feel at home and assist you in reaching graduation.
Campus tours/Student For A Day: we know you’d never buy a car without a test drive. We can arrange for you to tour our facilities. You can also spend a day with one of our student ambassadors who will take you to class (and lunch) so you can get a better idea of what you’ll be learning.
High school presentations: our Recruitment team visits high schools and career events from southeastern British Columbia through to southwestern Manitoba. Discover a time when they’ll be in your area by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
New-student orientation: your first day on campus won’t leave you shell-shocked, because we’ll tell you everything you need to know before you enter a classroom.
Day care: if you have a child between 19 months and school age, we have a fully accredited day care for 40 little ones.
Accommodation: we offer three residences, including a new single-occupancy, apartment-style building opening in the fall of 2010. Four-bedroom townhouses, two-bedroom suites and family units are also available.
