HCA-106 Working in Health Care

Students will focus on how to share information in a safe, ethical and respectful manner based on the needs of their clients. The purpose of the client’s chart and the information listed inside it will be examined, as well as the legislated acts that affect both the client and the health-care worker. The concepts of conflict, criticism and constructive feedback will be explored. Speech and language disorders will be covered with an emphasis on communication aids and strategies to promote the helping relationship with clients.
