Do you enjoy putting outfits together with a knack for making a look your own? Embrace your passion for fashion with the Fashion Design and Marketing program. Our one-year certificate will prepare you for an exciting career in the world of wardrobes, where people will look to you for the latest trends and styles. You can focus on the area that interests you most by specializing in Apparel Design and Production or Marketing and Merchandising while getting the 411 on the latest design developments and techniques. You’ll even have the opportunity to put together a portfolio using your own unique creations. Whichever avenue you choose, you can look forward to a career full of colour and excitement. 

Fashion Design and Marketing is right for you if you:

The journey starts here, as you create your portfolio, learn through a work-based practicum and show off your creations in the annual student fashion show.

Fashion Design and Marketing: At-a-Glance
1 Year (certificate)
September and January
Certificate in Fashion Design and Marketing ( Diploma intake for Fall 2013 has been suspended.)
University of Alberta, Kwantlen Polytechnic University

Practicum in the second year of the diploma program.  Students participate in an annual fashion show.

PRACTICUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
There is a required practicum component to this program. The College dictates the legal terms and conditions governing the practicum experience. Failure by the student to accept by way of legal contract and abide by these terms and conditions will result in non-completion of the program.
