Do you enjoy putting outfits together with a knack for making a look your own? Embrace your passion for fashion with the Fashion Design and Marketing program. Our one-year certificate or two-year diploma will prepare you for an exciting career in the world of wardrobes, where people will look to you for the latest trends and styles. You can focus on the area that interests you most by specializing in Apparel Design and Production or Marketing and Merchandising while getting the 411 on the latest design developments and techniques. You’ll even have the opportunity to put together a portfolio using your own unique creations. Whichever avenue you choose, you can look forward to a career full of colour and excitement.

Gaining a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of the industry through a mixture of theory and practical learning, you’ll have the knowledge and skills necessary to start your own business or be a fashion mogul in some of the biggest centres in the world, where ideas are born and your creativity has the power to influence millions. The journey starts here, as you create your portfolio, learn through a work-based practicum and show off your creations in the annual student fashion show.

University of Alberta and Kwantlen Polytechnic University

Practicum in the second year of the diploma program.  Students participate in an annual fashion show.
