As a professional, you can begin supporting the growing number of families living with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). As the only program of its kind in Canada, our certificate is designed for people in the field, and those who aspire towards careers in education, health care, disability services, criminal justice and other human service areas providing services to clients living with FASD.

Learning for life
As you complete the program through distance learning at your own pace, you will learn you about the many aspects of FASD, including prevention, intervention strategies and diagnosis. Through our practicum courses, you will use your knowledge in vital ways to support those living with FASD. We also offer a fast-track program for those with degrees or diplomas; you may be given credit for six of the 17 courses.
Two work-based practicum courses totaling 200 hours.
Lethbridge College offers a fast-track option for students holding degrees or diplomas in: child and youth care, early childhood education, criminal justice, social work, disability and community rehabilitation, special needs education assistant, nursing, psychology or education.
