This rigorous two-year diploma will help you muscle in on the science of physical activity, preparing you to be a health leader for the future. You’ll study physiology, psychology, human nutrition, fitness leadership and assessment, and much more. Soon enough, you will be on your way to a fast-paced career helping people of all ages and abilities maintain their physical well-being.

Make activity and ambition your passion

You’ll get all the practical experience you need by receiving the opportunity to become a certified fitness leaderwith the Alberta Fitness Leadership Certification Association (AFLCA). You will also learn how to communicate effectively with others through courses in fitness leadership and assessment. In your second year, you’ll get a taste of what the industry is really like when you present seminars and work with clients.

Diploma in Exercise Science

Practice training takes place in class and through on-campus and community assessments with clients.

CSEP/CPT Certification will be granted through the Alberta Provincial Fitness Unit upon successful completion of all CPT course material taught during the two-year diploma program. For more information, please contact the program.
