Learn English in beautiful Southern Alberta

Are you looking for a unique Canadian experience, quality English language programs and dedicated instructors, second to none?  Then the English Language Centre at Lethbridge College is the place for you!

About Lethbridge

Lethbridge is a beautiful little city situated in the southernmost part of Alberta. We are 1 hour from the United States border, 1.5 hours from the spectacular Rocky Mountains, 2 hours from Calgary, and 3 hours from the world-famous Banff National Park.  Lethbridge is Canada's sunniest city, known for its mild winters and warm, dry summers.

English as a Second Language

All of the four major communicative skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing - are practiced to enable students to more readily understand and respond to contemporary spoken English. Authentic and interest-related materials are utilized to improve language skills. Students develop a progressively wide and sophisticated vocabulary through discussions about contemporary topics, encouraging both formal and informal communication.

The English Language Centre offers:

  • All levels, from beginner to advanced
  • Small classes
  • 4 intensive classes per day with an emphasis on oral communication
  • Cross-cultural studies
  • Field trips and activities
  • Preparation for entry into other college programs
  • Academic and career counselling
  • A unique educational and cultural experience!
