Create the career you’ve always wanted with our Civil Engineering Technology program. Our intensive, nationally accredited two-year diploma will get you on the inside track to designing cities, roads and bridges and prepare you for work in a rewarding industry. You’ll learn about topics ranging from Computer Assisted Drafting (CAD) and land surveying to fluid mechanics, applied physics and concrete technology. In the second year, you’ll focus on engineering design and management to help you gain a more practical understanding of your trade.

There is an elective practicum component to this program. The College dictates the legal terms and conditions governing the practicum experience.

This is a Mobile Learning Program that requires students to purchase a mobile device from Lethbridge College complete with program specific software. Go to www.lethbridgecollege.ca/mobilelearning for additional information.


Note: Students must meet certain health and safety requirements for graduation. These include basic first aid, WHMIS, and TDG. The requirements will vary by program, and it is recommended that they be completed prior to the second year of study.

• Students in this program are required to purchase a mobile learning device from the college. Check your admissions letter for more details or contact your program. Engineering related program laptop costs are $2250.50 plus a $100 access fee. In the second year of these programs only the access fee is charged. These costs are not covered by government student loans, and are subject to change.
• Students will be charged a medical/dental benefit fee unless they opt out by demonstrating alternative coverage prior to the end of the first week of class.
• International students are charged three times the tuition fee of their particular program and the same (other) fees as domestic students.
• Costs for supplies may vary considerably depending on what students already have or where they purchased their supplies; cost provided is on the moderately high end.
