Build upon your education with the Bachelor of Nursing - After Degree program. This intensive, 24-month program is designed as an accelerated program for students who hold a degree in any area or field of study. Offered in collaboration with the University of Lethbridge, students will complete two semesters here at Lethbridge College and the remaining four semesters at the University. Upon completion, you will be eligible to write the NCLEX-RN exam, giving you the opportunity to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN).

Practice Based Experience sites will include Lethbridge and may include surrounding rural communities. PBE’s may include day, evening, and/or weekend schedules.

Students will be expected to travel to assigned sites and will be responsible for arranging travel and any associated costs.

The Bachelor of Nursing - After Degree (BN-AD) program is designed to provide an accelerated course of studies to a Bachelor of Nursing for students who have previously earned an approved degree in any discipline or field of study. The program will be offered over six consecutive semesters; students will attend from September to August and will be able to complete in a period of approximately 24 months. Appropriate breaks between and occasionally within semesters will be scheduled in order to provide time for vacation. This degree is offered in collaboration with the University of Lethbridge, with the first two semesters occurring at the Lethbridge College campus and the final four semesters occurring at the University of Lethbridge. When you complete the program, you will be eligible to write the NCLEX-RN Exam, giving you the opportunity to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN).

• After-degree nursing students take one 3 credit class at the U of L this ~$600 has been added to the supplies cost and will be displayed on the Student Aid Alberta loan application but students must pay the university themselves - the college cannot charge this or remit it to the university on behalf of the student.
• Students will be charged a medical/dental benefit fee unless they opt out by demonstrating alternative coverage prior to the end of the first week of class.
• International students are charged three times the tuition fee of their particular program and the same (other) fees as domestic students.
• Costs for supplies may vary considerably depending on what students already have or where they purchased their supplies; cost provided is on the moderately high end.
