MKT-1152 Commodity Marketing

This course is an overview of the alternatives available in the marketing of grains, oilseeds and livestock. Topics include priced and un-priced marketing strategies, futures contracts, put and call options, the mechanics of futures trading, hedging and the interpretation of market information through fundamental analysis and technical charting techniques. Students use the DTN System to chart commodity prices over the course of the term.
