Our Automotive Systems certificate is your vehicle to the automotive industry with a career you’ll enjoy. Upon successful completion of the program, you will:

have knowledge of several concepts, including:
- drive trains
- directional control systems
- automotive electrical systems
- performance projects.
- possess an understanding of automotive technology
- be eligible to write first- and second-year apprenticeship exams in Automotive Service Technician.
You will be able to:
- diagnose problems and repair wide range of vehicles
- use testing equipment, take the vehicle for a test drive or refer to manufacturers' specifications and manuals
- dismantle faulty assemblies and repair or replace worn or damaged parts
- reassemble, adjust and test repaired mechanisms
- provide scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications and tune-ups
- advise customers on work performed, general vehicle condition and future repair requirements.
