As a health professional, people look to you for guidance on their overall health and well-being. You need to have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide the solutions they seek. Upon successful completion of the Bachelor of Nursing program, you will:

  • Demonstrate knowledge in:
    • diagnostic reasoning
    • innovative clinical practice
    •   leadership
    • rural, elderly and First Nations populations.

You will be able to:

  • work in a variety of healthcare facilities
  • complete comprehensive and focused health assessments
  • diagnose health problems
  • support and counsel patients regarding health problems
  • prescribe medications to treat common diseases, disorders and injuries
  • consult and collaborate with physicians
  • be eligible to write the Canadian Registered Nurse Examination (CRNE), giving you the opportunity to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN).
