If you’re looking for a career that includes an exhilarating challenge, the opportunity of world travel, a chance to work with your hands and prove your ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical and mechanical wind turbine equipment, the BZEE Wind Turbine Technician/Pre-Employment program is for you.

It’s a dual-stream program that will allow graduates the choice of working in the wind turbine industry and/or continuing on to completing their journeyman electrician certification with interprovincial Red Seal certification.This well-established, successful six-month course has now partnered with BZEE, provider of the European training standard for wind turbine technicians. The BZEE standard is recognized by most major wind turbine manufacturers in Europe and North America and is what turbine companies and wind power producers are expecting in new employees. Lethbridge College’s affiliation with BZEE will allow all graduates the opportunity to complete the BZEE qualification examinations to receive temporary BZEE certification.

This intensive program is a combination of theory and hands-on lab practice on training turbines. This combination of technical training and hands-on lab/work will give you a comprehensive knowledge and skills that make you employable as soon as you finish training. The BZEE certification will provide you with employment opportunities throughout the world.
