These 8 classes cover the basics of oxy-acetylene and shielded metal arc welding with the related theory and practical lab instruction necessary to do welding of common type joints on mild steel encountered in manufacturing, construction, and repairs. Practical development of good welding habits, care of equipment, fusion welding of mild steel in both oxy-acetylene and shielded arc welding, brazing and torch cutting.
**(Please bring to class: steel toed boots, COTTON OR NATURAL FIBER COVERALLS, safety glasses, welding gloves and a 12LC vise grip. (welding helmet optional)**
