Alumni Scholarships and Internships

Whether you are returning to Lethbridge College or have moved on to another institution, the Office of Alumni Relations offers scholarships to help ease the financial burden of returning to school. Lethbridge College Alumni Relations Entrance Scholarships

two at $500 each
Awarded to high school graduates registered as full time students in a Lethbridge College certificate or diploma granting program.  Application must be accompanied by an unofficial high school transcript, with a minimum Grade 12 average of 75 per cent. Applicants are asked to supply at least two letters of recommendation outlining academic achievements and extra-curricular activities, as well as a resume.

Lethbridge College Alumni Relations Mature Entrance Scholarships

two at $500 each
Awarded to a mature student entering a Lethbridge College certificate or diploma granting program, based upon involvement in community activities and commitment to their chosen career goal.  An essay detailing involvement in community activities and commitment to career goals as well as a resume must be attached.

Lethbridge College Alumni for Life! Scholarship

one at $400
Awarded to a child of an alumnus who is entering a Lethbridge College program and demonstrates financial need.  Academic achievement will also be considered.  Applicants are to include an unofficial transcript, resume and letter of support from a high school teacher or counselor.

Lethbridge College Alumni Relations Post-Certificate/Diploma Awards

four at $500 each
Awarded to students who have completed a certificate/diploma/applied degree program at Lethbridge College with a minimum GPA of 3.0 who are continuing on to another Lethbridge College certificate/diploma/applied degree program. Applicants are to include a resume and letter of acceptance into the new program.

Lethbridge College Alumni/TD Meloche Monnex Scholarship

one at $1,000
Awarded to a Lethbridge College graduate who has completed a certificate, diploma or applied degree program with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and who is continuing on full time at an accredited post-secondary institution in a certificate, diploma, applied degree or degree granting program.  Applicants must submit a letter of reference from an instructor in the program area from which he/she has graduated at Lethbridge College, a letter outlining involvement in school or community activities, a letter of acceptance from the post secondary institution he/she plans on attending and a resume.

The Office of Alumni Relations is committed to supporting the ongoing learning needs of alumni through hands-on work experience. The Office of Alumni Relations currently provides the following internship opportunities:

The Troy Reeb 2003 Distinguished Alumni Internship offers a unique opportunity to a Communication Arts student; a two week all-expenses-paid internship in a major market newsroom.
