School of Agriculture & Natural Sciences

Your career in a growing field

Take three giant steps beyond the city boundary and you’ll find all the proof you need to know agriculture is a vibrant, happening industry.

Today's savvy Agricultural Technology grads are finding rewarding work in agri-business, ag-finance and as consultants and research technologists, able to take their expertise in soils, crops or animal science to the farm, to consult with and assist producers with their requirements.

If natural sciences are more your interest, you might consider our Cellular/Molecular Technician program, which gives you the skills to work in labs and research facilities conducting tests for forensics, medicine, agriculture and environmental agencies dealing with disease control, bioterrorism and food and water safety.

Or, you might find our Central Sterile Processing program fits your interests. Here, you’ll learn the proper handling and processing of equipment requiring sterilization to ensure the public’s safety.

As a student in any of the three areas, you’ll be learning in our Cousins Science Centre, newly renovated and loaded with all the equipment you’d expect in a top-flight facility.
