Grant Funding
Alberta Works and Canada/Alberta Works funding is non-repayable grant funding available to eligible learners. Some funded learners even receive a living allowance.
You may be eligible if you:
- are a current resident of Alberta
- are unemployed or underemployed
- demonstrate financial need based on Alberta government standards http://www.employment.alberta.ca/documents/AWonline/EMP5585.pdf
- lack the skills training needed to find sustainable employment
- have been out of the regular (K-12) school system for at least 12 consecutive months
- are legally entitled to work in Canada
- have a career goal
- and are interested in pursuing one of the following programs

- For both full-time and part-time studies a completed Career Investigation Report is required: http://www.employment.alberta.ca/documents/AWonline/career_report.pdf
