Placement Testing for Lethbridge College Programs
ACCUPLACER is a computer-based test that measures proficiency in sentence skills, reading comprehension, arithmetic, elementary algebra, and writing. It uses adaptive testing technology to select specific test questions that are best suited for each particular test taker. While this assessment is untimed, most students will finish the test in 1 ½ to 2 hours. If a student has been asked to complete the WritePlacer (essay-writing), as well, that will add an additional hour of testing.
For further information on the ACCUPLACER test, visit the Testing Services Placement Testing page.
If you live beyond 2½ hours driving distance from Lethbridge, you can arrange to write the placement exam within or close to your home community. Complete the Out of Town request for Placement Testing form and submit it to Testing Services via fax or mail.
