Admission Testing
Applicants may be required to complete entrance testing to determine if you have the prerequisite knowledge and skills for your chosen program. The test results are used with high school transcripts to judge your suitability for a Lethbridge College program.
Testing for Post-Secondary Lethbridge College Programs
The ACCUPLACER Computerized Placement Test is an academic skills assessment used to assess your reading comprehension, sentence skills, arithmetic, and elementary algebra skills. It is available as a written or computer-based exam. Although the assessment has no defined time limit, most students finish the test in 1½ to two hours.
Students must book an appointment at least 24 hours ahead. Picture ID is required. To make an appointment, please call 403-320-3368 or 1-800-572-0103 ext. 3368. Our office is located in AN1602. For all other inquiries, please email testing.services@lethbridgecollege.ca.

Testing for the College and University Preparatory Program at Lethbridge College (Upgrading)
If you are applying to the College and University Preparatory program, you are required to write the Canadian Achievement Test (CAT) at Testing Services to help us place you in appropriate courses.
The CAT is a standardized test of reading vocabulary, reading comprehension, math computation and math concepts. You must also write an in-house essay. The approximate time for testing is 4 - 4.5 hours.

Out-of-Town Testing
If you live more than four hours from Lethbridge, you can arrange to write the admissions exam within or close to your home community. Complete the Out of Town Test Form, and submit it to Testing Services via fax or mail.
