Track your Volunteer Time

Everyone is motivated to volunteer for different reasons: some people volunteer for the recognition and some do it just to be involved and give back to the community. It's hoped that this program can help people get out and volunteer more, no matter what their motivation is.

It's all up to you how you utilize the program. If you don't want public recognition we encourage you to report your hours anonymously, adding the hours to the institutional total, but leaving out the personal recognition piece.

Report your hours by using the Report Hours Form.

Why does TLC need me to report my hours?

TLC tracks volunteer hours for a few reasons:

  • In order to recognize those that are giving back. Volunteer hours reported enter you into the draw for Volunteer of the Month prizes. Milestones are recognized at 25, 50, 100, 150 and 200+ hours with recognition at the annual Volunteer Recognition Event.
  • Statistics highlight what Lethbridge College people are already doing: giving back to the community. Social responsibility is important, and we have the right to brag about our commitment to the community with 2,500 hours reported in year one of TLC.
  • To protect College volunteers. In order to be covered by the College's WCB policy volunteers must be registered and reporting members in case of an accident or injury.
  • Need to beef up your resume? We have your hours and activities on file for future reference. It’s great info to add to a resume or performance review.
