TLC aims to promote volunteerism as a whole benefitting on-campus events as well as giving back to the Lethbridge community. Community organizations are welcome to contact TLC to promote worthwhile volunteer activities that suit the interests of TLC. Internal activities are Lethbridge College events, clubs, committees, boards and related on-campus volunteer support.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Convocation 2012 is just around the corner and the organizing committee is seeking volunteers for April 27th. They require volunteers to assist with program distribution, seating, coat check, parking, and the Convocation Tea. They have a number shifts available throughout the day. Collide-O-Scope, hosted by the LC School of Media and Design, is an annual showcase for graduating students from four programs in the school: Fashion Design & Marketing, Communication Arts, Interior Design, and Multimedia Productions. This event takes place in the Val Matteotti Gymnasium on the evening of April 28th. One hundred percent of profits go to student scholarships in the four programs and organizers are looking for volunteers to help out in the following areas:
- Friday, April 27 - rearrange seating and risers in gymnasium after the afternoon convocation.
- Saturday, April 28 - security people throughout the day to ensure garments and displays are secure.
- Saturday, April 28 - help taking down displays at the end of the evening.

TOTALLY U G!RL
The Be Fit for Life Centre is looking for female volunteers to help out with their
"Totally U G!RL" Event on Saturday, May 5th from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Assistance with handling registrations, lunch prep and general help is being sought. 2012 Alberta Summer Games: looking for games ambassadors to welcome athletes, coaches, chaperones, people to assist with athlete check-in and registration. Training will be provided. Contact Susan French at 403.320.7766 or info@2012albertasummergames.ca for info.
Lethbridge YMCA requires people to help with the YMCA Family Fun Run on Saturday, May 12 from 8 a.m. til Noon. Positions include manning water stations, race marshalling, babysitting and cooking pancakes. This Fun Run helps the YMCA provide subsidized memberships and activities for the less fortunate youth in our community. Volunteers must be over 16 and have access to a vehicle.
