Lakeshore Campus

Lakeshore Campus is located at the Lethbridge Correctional Centre and provides educational opportunities to sentenced inmates. College courses for inmates started back in the late 70's and have successfully developed into the Program we offer today. Lakeshore Campus follows three educational streams - Academic Studies, Personal Development and Job Employment Training. Each focuses on a different aspect of inmate education and development but work together in providing the highest quality education available to incarcerated individuals. A key focus in our programs is to provide maximum inmate access to all the educational opportunities offered.

All the courses are designed based on the needs of the inmates, directives of the Lethbridge Correctional Centre and the guidelines set out by the Department of the Solicitor General. The Lethbridge College ensures the quality and integrity of course curriculum, the experience and expertise of the instructors and the effectiveness of course delivery. The overall goal is to maximize the learning experience for inmates and improve their chances for successful reintegration and productive citizenship in society.
