Academic Studies Program
The academic development of students from Grades 10 to 12 is the focus of the Academic Studies Program. Courses in Math, English, Social and Science are offered to the students at the Centre. This year-round program is offered Monday through Friday both mornings and afternoons with the advanced level classes running Monday evenings. After students complete the course requirements for A.B.E., they are encouraged to write the G.E.D. exams or attend the evening Academic Upgrading class.
Keyboarding Courses are offered several times throughout the academic year for students at the Centre. This provides individuals with limited computer experience, an opportunity to learn about the basic operation of a computer and practice keyboarding.
Personal Development Program
The focus of the Personal Development Program is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to more effectively manage their personal lives. Students examine self-defeating thoughts and behaviors that lead to negative consequences and lifestyles. Having an understanding into the problems that have been created in their lives, they now learn new skills to handle situations and people differently. This year-round program is offered Monday through Friday, mostly during the evening hours.
